Grey Power Whakatane

Grey Power is a Advocacy Organisation with the emphasis on government policies for members in the 50 plus age group and for people under 50 as associate members. Our mission is to be the appropriate voice for all New Zealanders. Grey Power Whakatane District Association represents the views and aspirations of its citizens and brings the issues affecting our members to the attention of government, both local and national, together with the wider public in our local area.

We organise regular events throughout the year, each featuring a guest speaker, with tea, coffee and snacks available following the closure of the meeting, the majority of our meetings are held at the Knox Hall, 83 Domain Road, these events are advertised in our magazines, which we produce five times per year and include items of interest which are applicable to our membership, together with items of local and national interest. In addition we participate in the annual Heart to Heart Expo which takes place in March/April at the Memorial Hall, Whakatane.

We publish details of our up and coming events together with copies of our magazines on this website.
